Students Career Counselling Cell
This cell, under able supervision of Sri Prasit Ranjan Ghosh, provides information of different career and job prospects along with the study materials to the students. However, in near future the cell will have an entirely new look with newly renovated room and sitting arrangements, computers and internet connection, books and study materials, and the like. The cell also plans to arrange seminars and workshops on this issue with specialists and professionals in this field and extend its activities in every possible way. All these will be possible with the fund provided by UGC under the XI five year plan
Equal Opportunity Centre
The college is going to inaugurate an Equal Opportunity Centre very soon. Funded by UGC, the centre will organize a short-term course on positive discrimination of disadvantaged groups like SCs, STs, women, OBCs (non-creamy layer), minorities and physically challenged persons for national development at the beginning of every academic session for newly enrolled students. The Centre will also provide guidance and counselling with respect to academic, financial, social and other matters and to enhance the diversity within the campus.
Grievance Redressal Cell
The Grievance Redressal Cell, under the chairmanship of the Teacher-in-Charge and the convenership of Dr. Soumitra Sen, discusses all the grievances (submitted in a Grievance/Complaint box) of the students and other stakeholders of the college and suggests possible remedy to the Governing Body of the college.
Computer Training Centre
The College has a Computer training center run by a private organization in an accommodation provided by the college. Under DOEACC society the centre runs the following courses: (a) ‘O’ level Computer course (12 months), (b) Diploma in PC Application (12 months), (c) Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications (18 months) and (d) Diploma in Hardware Technology (12 months). All the courses are affiliated by the State Government.
